The Wayne County Community Foundation has elected a new board president.

Brent Steiner has served as a trustee since 2013, representing the northeast quadrant of Wayne County. In addition to his role as president, he will serve as an ex-officio member of all standing committees of the board.

A Wayne County native, Steiner graduated from Norwayne High School before heading to Ohio University where he earned a dual degree in business management and human resources management.

Steiner, co-owner of Ramsier Financial Services in Smithville, is a Certified Financial Planner and holds Series 7, 66 and Life/Health Insurance licenses. In addition, he is a member of the Financial Educator Network and has taught classes on retirement planning.

He is an active member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Rittman and a board member for the Apostolic Christian Village also in Rittman. Steiner previously served as a board member and chairman for the Orrville Chamber of Commerce and served as a member of the Green Local Schools Board of Education for 12 years.

Steiner replaces Mark Auble, who has stepped down after four years as president and will remain an active member of the foundation’s board, representing the Orrville area as he has since 2006.
