    What's Up? American Revolution Experience, Our Town Killbuck

    “CLIMATE" exhibit , through Sept. 28, Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery, 331 College Ave., Ashland. Exhibit is a regional juried exhibition featuring 25 Ohio-based artists. There will be an opening reception 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday. It is free and open to the public. The Coburn Gallery is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and noon-4 p.m. on weekends during the academic year.     Our Town Killbuck , 7 p.m. Friday, Duncan Theater. The Our Town series kicks off Early American Days weekend and the celebration of Killbuck’s 150 anniversary. Melissa Patrick will lead a journey of Killbuck’s past along with audience participation. Take stories and memorabilia to share. The program is free.

    Downtown Wooster Farmers' Market , 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday. Shop for the fresh produce, eggs, meat and poultry, honey, home-baked goods, fresh-cut flowers, wine tastings, artisanal crafts and more.     American Revolution Experience , through Tuesday, Wayne County Historical Society, 546 E. Bowman St., Wooster; 1-5 p.m. Sunday and Labor Day, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The exhibit is free. The pop-up includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology, and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. Hosted by the Wooster-Wayne Chapter of NSDAR.

    Mental Faculties concert , 6-8 p.m. Monday, Lincolnway Vineyards, 9050 W. Old Lincolnway, Wooster. The rock band composed of Wooster teachers will hold its third annual school supply drive concert.

    Hoe Down Square Dance , 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, Wayne County Fairgrounds. Square and line dancing open to the public, all ages welcome, no experience necessary. Free lessons given at 7 p.m.; admission $5. Hoe Down style square dancing and county line dancing with live band and caller.

    Breakfast and Fly-in , 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Sept. 14, Wayne County Airport, 6020 N. Honeytown Road, Smithville. Chapter 846 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will showcase planes of all types. Liberty Aviation will bring its 1929 Ford Tri-Motor and offer rides on the restored antique aircraft.

    A Tea with Teddy , 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, Castle Club Banquet Center next to the Victorian House Museum. Sip tea and dine with foods provided by Exclusively Yours. A program will be on President Teddy Roosevelt and his wife. The Roosevelt will be en route from the Whitehouse and will arrive in style. The tea cost is $30 per person; reservations due by Sept. 6 by calling Margi Oller at 330-465-1393 or Kay Kline at 330-231-7196.

    "Truman and the Bomb" , 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, Wayne County Historical Society School House. Presentation on the president, the Manhattan Project and World War II in the Pacific. For tickets call 330-264-8856. Tickets are $8.

    Pumpkins & Paws , 1-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Honeytown, 1552 N. Honeytown Road, Wooster. Food, pumpkins, cider and donuts. Dogs welcome.

    Wayne & Holmes Counties Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s , Saturday, Sept. 21, Secrest Arboretum, Wooster. The fundraising goal is $65,000. Mike Link from Care Patrol and president of the Wayne County Senior Network will serve as 2024 Walk chair.     A Walk in the Past , 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg. Costume characters come to life and present their life story. There is limited parking; close-in parking will be provided for the handicapped. The program is free. Take a lawn chair and comfortable shoes for walking. The presentation will take place at the Adena Indian Mound. After short presentations, some of the actors will disperse to their gravesites where visitors can engage for more history. The event is weather permitting.

    The Barrs Mill Church of God Missions Team Golf Scramble , Sept. 21, Wilkshire Golf Course, 10566 Wilkshire Blvd. NE, Bolivar. Space is still available for teams and sponsors.     Our Town Millersburg Part 2 , 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. American Hall Venue. Did you attend Part 1 Millersburg then you don’t want to miss Part 2. Three presenters will talk about the buildings, the people, and significant events that shaped Millersburg’s past. In addition WKLM will livestream the presentation so you can watch from home or later if you miss it. Bring your Millersburg memories and memorabilia to share. The historical record is enhanced by people sharing their memories with others.

    Antique Festival Historical Presentations – 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, American Hall venue. Mark Boley, director of the Holmes Co. Historical Society, will present two programs. Short versions of the two programs will be presented back to back. Unusual Mysterious Holmes Co. and Holmes Co. the Rest of the Story. The festival is providing the programs as part of a yearlong bicentennial celebration. The program is free to the public.

    2024 Ashland County Sports Hall of Fame Banquet/Induction , 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Ashland University Convocation Center. Visit www.ashlandcosportshof.org for ticket forms. Requests for tickets must be received by Sept. 27. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

    Clue at the Mansion , 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Unsavory Characters of Holmes Co. The series based on the CLUE game performed live at the Victorian House will include two sessions to include some unusual characters from the past. Trilby, Witch of Panthers Hollow, Tom Lions, Big Foot, Aliens, to name just a few.  The cost is $15 per person and reservations can be made by calling the society office at 330-674-0022.
