    Yard sale, food giveaway

    An-Nissa 2 Food Bank, 1571 Carlos Drive, will hold its fifth annual Yard Sale and Fish Fry from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Saturday. Hot dogs also will be for sale.     Coffee with a Cop

    Sheriff Paula Dance and several deputies from the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office will host Coffee with a Cop from 9-11:30 a.m. on Thursday at Starbucks, 100 E. 10th St., on the corner of Evans Street so residents can share questions, concerns and thoughts.

    Squawk & Squeal plate sale

    The Greenville Jaycees will host its annual Squawk & Squeal plate sale from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 1 at the Heart for ENC/Awaken Coffee parking lot, 101 W. 14th St. The meal includes BBQ, chicken, green beans and mac and cheese. Plates will be available while supplies last. Advance tickets available from Greenville Jaycee members using cash or Venmo or buy online at www.greenville-jaycees.com.

    Disc golf tournament

    Third Street Academy, 600 W. Third St., will host a disc golf fundraiser at the school from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 1. Children can play with parents or a local disc golfer. Lunch will be served to all players. Tickets range from $10-$25. Visit tinyurl.com/pczzwknw for tickets.

    Gameover NC

    Gameover NC will visit the Greenville Convention Center, 303 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 1-8 p.m. June 1. The event will feature the new, retro and virtual reality games suitable for gamers of all experience levels. Tickets are $35.

    Dinner on the Grounds

    The Pitt County Historical Society will host its annual Dinner on the Grounds for society members and their guests at noon on June 1 at the Red Banks Primitive Baptist Church, 2601 Fire Tower Road. Dinner on the Grounds also will serve as the annual meeting to elect board members and officers. Chicken and barbecue will be provided for lunch; attendees are asked to bring sides and desserts.     RADD Ride

    Boneyard Harley-Davidson will host its third annual RADD (Raising Awareness for the Developmentally Disabled) Ride on June 1, starting at 2300 Elaines Way, Winterville. Registration will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Riders will parade through Kinston Veterans Home, Caswell Development Center and Granger Stadium. Ride returns to Boneyard for food truck, free beer and the opportunity to learn more about RADD. The registration cost is a donation of any amount to RADD, a Kinston-based nonprofit.

    Concert on the Common

    The Concert on the Common series will feature Trial By Fire, the Ultimate Journey Tribute, on June 13 at the Greenville Town Common. The event will feature food trucks, beer and wine starting at 5:30 p.m and music starting at 6 p.m. Five North Carolina-based musicians will present the sound and visuals of the Steve Perry era of Journey.

    Market on the Square

    The Winterville Chamber of Commerce will host Market on the Square every second Thursday of the month from June through September. The first market will take place June 13 at 252 Main St., Winterville, and will include a Touch-a-Truck event. Those interested in becoming a vendor, visit www.wintervillechamber.com.
