It’s early, but local Eastern Plains Conference volleyball teams are once again dominating their non-league slates.

The Jaguars rolled to set victories of 25-11, 25-21 and 25-17.

Farmville opened the season with a win on the road against Hunt, and the Jags had a chance at a season sweep of the Warriors on Tuesday night at home.

The Rams rebounded from their initial loss of the season with a sweep of Eastern Wayne on Monday in Snow Hill.

GC (3-1) now faces four consecutive road games beginning with Tuesday’s trip to Southside followed by Thursday’s match at North Lenoir.

    North Pitt 3, Riverside 2

The Panthers have played the Knights in three of the first four matches to open the season and have won two of them thanks to Monday’s road victory.

North Pitt (2-2) is back in action against Southside at home on Wednesday.

The Panthers blasted home seven goals in the first half en route to an easy victory and a 3-0 start to the season.

It was the second 9-0 win over Martin for North Pitt in roughly a week. NP has outscored its first three opponents 22-1.

The Panthers travel to Northeastern on Wednesday in non-league action.

    Wallace-Rose Hill 3, Greene Central 1

The Rams were stung on their opening night Monday, yielding a pair of second-half goals to erase a 1-1 halftime tie.

Junior Miguel Zavada scored the lone goal for Greene Central, set up by fellow junior Adrian Acevedo.

Two teams trying to find their footing early in the season will meet on Wednesday when GC (0-1) travels to J.H. Rose.

    C.B. Aycock 3, J.H. Rose 1

The Rampants slid to 1-2-1 on the season after Aycock bagged a pair of first-half goals and had the lone tally of the second to put the game away on Monday night.

Rose will try to even its record against Greene Central on Wednesday at home.

The Vikings were shut out for the second straight time to open the season on Monday night.

    Washington improved to 2-0.
