    Retired school personnel

    The North Carolina Retired School Personnel of Pitt County will hold a general meeting at 10:30 a.m. today at Parker’s Restaurant, 3109 S. Memorial Drive.

    Lakeside Live

    Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot will perform in concert at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Wildwood Park, 3450 Blue Heron Drive. The Lakeside Live concert event is free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Visit greenvillenc.gov or call 329-4968.

    Tackle Your Health

    Tackle Your Health, a men’s health event, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 1400 Elm St., Greenville. The event will feature guest speakers, free health screenings and information, free lunch, ECU football ticket raffles and more. Men of all ages are invited to wear their favorite team jersey and bring their families.     Vendor market

    The Eastern Carolina Village and Farm Museum, 4570 County Home Road, will host a free end of summer vendor market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.     Multicultural arts festival

    Emerge Gallery & Art Center, in collaboration with the City of Greenville and other partners, will host the inaugural Mosaic Multicultural Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Town Common, 105 E. First St. The event will feature multicultural artists, activity booths, food trucks and vendors, and live performances. Admission will be free.     Freedom Fund Banquet

    The Pitt County branch of the NAACP will hold its Freedom Fund Banquet at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Hilton Greenville, 207 S.E. Greenville Blvd. The theme is “Invisible Yet Vital: The Unseen Contributions of African Americans and the Struggle for Recognition.” Judge Lora Cubbage will be the keynote speaker with special guest honorees.     Band performance

    The Celtic band Twisted Knot will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Winterville Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 257 Cooper St., Winterville, in Ellis Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be provided and donations will be accepted. Call 714-7035.

    Figapalooza

    The Figapalooza fig festival will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday at Forest of Eden Farm & Nursery, 4604 Dixon Road, Grimesland. There will be fig trees for sale, fig samples (while they last), fruit tree trading, vendors and speakers. Entry is $3. Call 413-7547 to volunteer or inquire about being a vendor.

    Blood drive

    The Pitt County NAACP and the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the American Legion, 403 St. Andrews Drive. Donors will receive a $20 Amazon e-gift card and a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. The first 20 donors will also receive a produce box.     Town hall

    The North Carolina Network for Fair, Safe and Secure Elections will host its next town hall from 6:30-8 p.m. on Sept. 24 at Pitt Community College in the Walter and Marie Williams Building, 2105 Warren Drive, Winterville. The 90-minute town hall is part of a series featuring dozens of events across the state to address public concerns around voting in North Carolina and to strengthen civil discourse. The nonpartisan event is free and open to the public.
