Another week, another showdown and still an unblemished record.

For the second straight week, the D.H. Conley volleyball team squared off with an in-town rival and walked away victorious, as the Vikings rolled past host South Central in a 3-0 sweep, 25-12, 25-23, 25-16.

The win kept Conley unbeaten at 13-0 overall and 6-0 in Big Carolina Conference play. The league standings remained crowded at the top with locals, as J.H. Rose (5-1) sits second and the loss for South Central (4-2) pushed the Falcons into third. Conley dealt Rose its lone BCC loss last week.

South Central (8-4 overall) travels to Conley on Oct. 10 for the rematch.

Conley got its standard standout performances from Riley McGalliard (24 assists), Britni Silver (22 kills, six digs, three aces), Emilee Wilson (three aces), Paige Money (nine digs, four assists) and Faith Mitchum (five digs).

Conley played at West Carteret on Wednesday while SC hosts Northside Jacksonville on Thursday.

Rose maintained position in the BCC with a sweep of the Rams on Tuesday, 25-13, 25-16, 25-6.

It was the third straight win for the Rampants. The teams will meet again at Havelock on Oct. 9.

Rose trekked to Croatan on Wednesday night before hosting Jacksonville on Thursday.

The Chargers fell right back into the groove in the Eastern Plains Conference with a carefree sweep of the Pam Pack, 25-13-, 25-16, 25-6 on Tuesday night.

The teams play again in Littlefield on Oct. 10.

The teams will meet again in Farmville on Oct. 10.

Farmville Central (8-4 overall), winners of two straight, travel to SouthWest Edgecombe on Thursday. North Pitt (4-7, 1-5) hosts Greene Central on Thursday.
