The D.H. Conley volleyball team ended another week unbeaten on Thursday night in a 3-0 sweep on the road at Jacksonville.

The 25-13, 25-12, 25-16 shutout upped Conley’s record in the Big Carolina Conference to a perfect 10-0 with three matches remaining in its regular season.

The Vikings (19-0 overall) got their usual big outputs from Riley McGalliard (35 assists, two blocks), Britni Silver (20 kills, three blocks), Brooklyn Smith (six kills), Olivia Jones (six kills), Sydney Carden (five kills), Paige Money (nine digs, three aces), Faith Mitchum (seven digs) and Tarrah Shirley (four blocks).

Green Level comes to Conley on Monday for a state-level match to close out the non-conference slate for Conley.

The Gators not only ended Conley’s season two years ago in the state playoffs, but they are as fierce as ever, boasting a 17-2 record, a 12-0 league mark and are coming off a 3-2 triumph over fellow perennial state title contender Green Level on Thursday night.

After that, the Vikings can close in on another 12-0 finish in the BCC with home matches Tuesday against New Bern and Thursday against South Central. Conley swept both clubs earlier this season.

    J.H Rose 3, New Bern 0

Rose swept the Bears at home on Thursday night, 25-14, 25-11, 25-10 to improve to 9-2 in BCC play.

The Rampants (17-3) have just one final pre-playoff tune-up and can finish 10-2 in the league on Wednesday night at Havelock.

Greene Central 3, West Craven 2

The Rams and Eagles played six grueling sets against each other this season, and Greene Central won the last one.

GC avenged a previous 3-2 loss to the Eagles with a 3-2 triumph of its own in Thursday’s rematch in Vanceboro.

The Rams (11-10, 5-6 Eastern Plains Conference) will aim for a 6-6 finish in league play when they travel to Farmville Central on Monday for their regular season finale.

    Washington 3, North Pitt 0

The Panthers were swept by the Pam Pak in Bethel on Thursday night despite a couple of hotly contested sets.

    Washington claimed the sweep 25-23, 25-17, 25-15.

North Pitt (5-11, 2-8) finishes the season next week on the road at West Craven on Tuesday and at Farmville Central on Thursday.

    SOCCER J.H. Rose 2, Jacksonville 0

Rose won its fourth in a row on Thursday night at home against the Cardinals and stretched its Big Carolina Conference record to 5-0.

The Rampants (9-5-1) scored both goals in the second half, both from senior Daniel Olaopa with assists from senior Landen Lucas and junior Davis Himmelfarb.

Senior Timothy Gates made five saves for the clean sheet.

Rose travels to D.H. Conley on Tuesday.

Greenfield 2, John Paul II 1 (2 OT)

Host Greenfield broke a 1-1 impasse in the second overtime period on Thursday to cool off the Saints, who lost their second straight following a seven-game winning streak.

JPII (12-4, 8-3) traded second-half goals with the Knights to send the game into extra time in Wilson.

The Saints won the first meeting in early September. They host rival Parrott Academy on Tuesday to close out the regular season.

Northside Jacksonville 4, South Central 0

The Monarchs stashed a pair of goals in each half on Thursday and dropped struggling South Central to 0-4 in BCC action this season.

The Falcons (2-7-2) dropped their fifth straight.

SC is back in action at home against New Bern on Monday.

    JV VOLLEYBALL D.H. Conley 2, Jacksonville 0
