    Voting is now open for this week's The Daily Reporter Football Player of the Week

    BRANCH COUNTY – Week six of the Michigan High School Football season has come and gone, and still one team remains unbeaten on the year as the Union City Chargers improved to 6-0 on the year.

    Bronson and Coldwater still remain in the thick of playoff contention and look to continue their treks towards possible postseason berths.

    Week six saw a number of impressive individual performances so we here at The Daily Reporter need you, the readers, to tell us who did the best, so with that comes our weekly The Daily Reporter Football Player of the Week poll.

    The poll opens at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and votes will be counted until Thursday at 5 p.m. You can vote as often and as much as you want in this particular poll, so vote now, vote often and let us know who you think had the best week in Branch County High School Football.

    Nominees:

    Aidan Decker, Union City Chargers, TE/LB - Decker once again went about his business in a quiet like, but dominant fashion. Decker led the Union City defense with 12 total tackles, including two for a loss, while adding two catches for 34 yards, one of which resulted in a first down on a huge third down and long.

    Brendan LaBar, Union City Chargers, RB/LB - Labar was a big part of the Chargers 36-6 win over Bronson on Friday, rushing the ball 22 times for 95 yards and three touchdowns, including runs of 3-yards, 2-yards, and 7-yards

    Dracyn Foster, Coldwater Cardinals, QB – Foster led the Cardinals to a big win over Pennfield on Friday, finishing the night 2 of 9 passing for 99 yards and two scores while also adding 67 yards rushing on five carries with a touchdown, a 49-yard run. Foster’s touchdown passes included a 61-yard pass to Kendall Austin and a 38-yard touchdown toss to Evan Lewis

    Ethan Pearson, Quincy Orioles, OL/LB - Pearson was a key piece of the Orioles defense on Friday, notching a team high 15 tackles on the night in a tough loss to Stockbridge

    Kam Brackett, Bronson Vikings, WR/DB - Brackett had another solid all-around day for Bronson in a tough loss. Brackett did most of his damage in the first half, pulling in two interceptions, one of which came on a one-handed Sportscenter type catch along the sidelines. On offense Brackett had three catches for 76 yards to go along with a rushing touchdown.

    Karsen Scare, Bronson Vikings, OL/LB - Scare was a big part of the Viking defense, finishing among the team leaders in tackles on the night

    Kayden Roby, Coldwater Cardinals - Roby led the Coldwater rushing attack, carrying the ball 15 times for 85 yards and a score, a 4-yard touchdown run. Roby also added seven tackles to the Coldwater defensive effort.

    Noah Kelley, Quincy Orioles, RB/DB - led the Quincy offense in their loss to Stockbridge on Friday, rushing the ball five times for a team high 43 yards to go along with five catches for a team high 72 yards and a score, a 26-yard touchdown pass from Christian Craven.
