Hiring event set for Tuesday for equipment operators

PUNTA GORDA — Charlotte County officials are holding a hiring event for equipment operators on Tuesday.

The event will “fill immediate openings for equipment operators,” it stated in a news release.

“Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL and a minimum of one year of heavy equipment experience,” it stated. “The hiring event will include on-the-spot skills testing and interviews.”

The event takes place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at 7000 Florida St., off Carmalita Street in Punta Gorda.

There is also paid time off, it noted.
