Flags placed at Restlawn

PORT CHARLOTTE — Local veteran groups, community volunteers and Daughters of the American Revolution spent time Friday honoring veterans who have died.

The DAR, VFW Post 5690 and community members placed hundreds of flags, pausing for a moment during the event at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Restlawn Memorial Gardens provided photos of those involved.

Memorial Day is Monday.
