North Port Fire responds to house fire caused by grill

NORTH PORT — North Port Fire Rescue extinguished a house fire Tuesday evening.

The call went out at 8:01 p.m., and the North Port Police Department also worked the scene.

The residential structure fire at the 20000 block of Valprato Court was started from an outside grill, according to NPFR officials.

The flames spread from the grill to the house.

Pictures sent from officials show the patio's outdoor wall stained from smoke.

The fire was out by 8:30 p.m., NPFR told The Daily Sun.

No residents or fire personnel were injured from the blaze.
