BABCOCK RANCH — Babcock Ranch has its next Safety Day set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at its Founder’s Square.

The fourth annual event is hosted by the Babcock Ranch Residential Association.

“Resident safety remains a top priority at Babcock Ranch and our annual Safety Day allows us to connect the community with local law enforcement in a fun and educational way,” Kitson & Partners CEO/Chairman Syd Kitson stated in a news release.

Kitson is the founder of Babcock Ranch.

“We thank our local law enforcement partners for taking time to teach our community about personal safety, while protecting us each and every day,” he stated.

The day will include with first responders from police and fire departments, EMS and county K9 Units.

Open to the public, people will have a chance to “learn about their role in protecting the community, important safety information, how their equipment works and to tour their official vehicles, including a BearCat SWAT armored truck,” the news release stated.

The day includes food trucks, bounce houses, a dunk tank and other activities.

“Kids can participate in a ‘bike rodeo’ where the Babcock Ranch Community Patrol and Charlotte County’s Sheriff’s Office will be teaching bicycle safety and laws to children of all ages like proper signaling, navigating them through obstacle courses, while gifting and fitting helmets, bells and customized safety coloring books,” it stated.
