Inaugural Career Connect Job Fair set

NORTH PORT — Job-seekers can explore employment opportunities at a forthcoming career fair.

The North Port Economic Development Division is hosting its inaugural Career Connect Job Fair. It’s set for 1-4 p.m. Oct. 17 at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way.

Attendees can meet numerous employers, including the following:

HCA HealthcareThe Atlanta BravesKing PlasticSarasota Memorial HospitalNorth Port Behavioral HealthNumerous city of North Port departments

Participants are encouraged to bring their resumes.

The event will also allow people to make connections and network with other professionals.

“As North Port grows, so does the need for a robust workforce,” Business Retention and Expansion Coordinator Mike McLellan said. “I’m looking forward to seeing our business community come together to find quality applicants and network with other industry professionals.”
