ADRIAN — A juried art exhibit that focuses on interpretations of the nation's flag will remain on display at Adrian College's Hickman Gallery through July 26.

“Stars and Stripes: Artistic Dialogues on the American Flag” is free of charge and open to the public.

The Hickman Gallery is located on Adrian College's campus in the Mahan Center for Art and Interior Design, and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays or by appointment.

“Stars and Stripes” contains various media of artwork that explore the symbolism, history and diverse perspectives surrounding the flag, Adrian College said in a news release.

Travis Erxleben, an assistant professor of art, said the exhibit promises to be a thought-provoking and visually stunning experience.
