BLISSFIELD — The public is invited to attend, and bring a friend, to a Sunday evening gospel music concert in Blissfield at Emmanuel Church .

The 6 p.m. program Sunday, Sept. 29, will feature gospel music performed by The Back-Ups, a signing group from the Clayton United Methodist Church .

“They got their name because they would sing in place of the choir when needed,” an announcement from Blissfield Emmanuel Church said. “The trio started singing together in 1995 and have enjoyed serving the Lord with their music ever since.”

The Back-Ups consist of Blaine Baker, Barb Baker and Deb Strayer. They are accompanied by Mary Austin.
