We've reached the halfway point of the season in Week 5 . League races are in full swing, and the chase for playoffs is on as well.

Britton Deerfield, Clinton, Hudson and Madison were the only winners this week. Here's how the Patriots, Redwolves, Tigers and Trojans got it done:

ADRIAN — The Patriots traveled to LCS and picked up their first win against the Cougars since joining the 8-man game in 2021.

BD (4-1, 2-0 SCAA White) also claimed at least a share of the SCAA White division title with each of the other three teams in the league with at least one loss.

It was a back-and-forth game early with BD leading 16-12 at the half with a pair of Caden Kubacki 1-yard touchdowns, while Wyatt Melton had a 64-yard touchdown run and Zane Cherfan caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from JT Reatherford.

BD pulled away in the second half with a 13-yard touchdown from Caden Freeman, another 1-yard run from Kubacki, a Cayden Allhouse 42-yard touchdown run, a Kubacki 11-yard touchdown run and a Luke Wiser 49-yard touchdown run. Reatherford found Cherfan with a 20-yard touchdown pass for LCS (1-4, 0-1 SCAA White) and a 61-yard touchdown to Brenner Powers.

    HUDSON 44, BLISSFIELD 6

HUDSON – Grayson Bills had touchdown runs of 55, 50 and 30 yards as Hudson improved to 4-1 with the win over Blissfield and 3-0 in the LCAA.

Beckett Campbell scored from 80 yards out, and Beckett McCaskey added two rushing touchdowns.

Ethan Samuels scored Blissfield’s touchdown as the Royals fell to 2-3 and 1-2 in the LCAA.

    CLINTON 38, DUNDEE 16

DUNDEE — The Redwolves continued their roll against the LCAA with 23 straight league wins.

Clinton (4-1, 3-0 LCAA) has beaten Dundee five straight times since rejoining the LCAA.

    MADISON 30, HILLSDALE 8

MADISON TWP. — The Trojans continued their stellar start to the season by improving to a program-best 4-1 and 2-1 in the LCAA to begin the season.

Brian Dopp had a pick-6 and threw a touchdown to Bryce Jordan and was named homecoming king while Jalonn Borders had a touchdown of his own to help seal the game away.

    PINCKNEY 24, TECUMSEH 18

PINCKNEY — Four interceptions was too much for Tecumseh from which to battle back as it fell to Pinckney in SEC White play.

Tecumseh (2-3, 1-2 SEC White) trailed 24-12 after the third but scored to make it one-possession game on a Tyler Clement touchdown run with about seven minutes left in the game, but one last interception brought the game to an end on Tecumseh's final drive.

Luke Dunham had two touchdowns with 73 yards rushing.

    CHELSEA 35, ADRIAN 10

ADRIAN — A big second half from the Bulldogs handed the Maples their third loss of the season as they fell to 2-3 and 1-2 in the SEC White.

Zack Hassan kicked a 29-yard field goal, and Chase Henline ran in a 6-yard touchdown to go up 10-7 in the second quarter, but it was all Chelsea from then on.

The Bulldogs led 14-10 at the half and scored 28 unanswered points.

    CONCORD 32, MORENCI 16

MORENCI — The Bulldogs had their three-game win streak snapped as they opened SCAA White play with a loss.

It was 16-16 at the half, but the Yellow Jackets shut out Morenci (3-2, 0-1 SCAA White) in the second half.

Michael Rising had a 75-yard touchdown run, while Van Ekins caught an 8-yard touchdown from Drew Joughin.

UNION CITY 35, SAND CREEK 16

SAND CREEK — The Aggies scored first on a 2-yard touchdown run from Ivan Wilkinson, but the Chargers took control from there in the second half.

Sand Creek (2-3, 1-3 Big 8) led 8-0 at the half, but Union City scored the next four touchdowns before RJ Gervacio had a 90-yard kick return for a touchdown.

    IDA 47, ONSTED 7

IDA — The Wildcats fell to 1-2 in the LCAA and 2-3 on the season as they lost to Ida.

Onsted has lost five straight to Ida.

    JONESVILLE 46, ADDISON 0
