Members of the Knoxville Tennessee Valley Authority Employees Credit Union (KTVAECU) donated $120,000 worth of aid money to local communities impacted by Hurricane Helene through a partnership with Second Harvest of East Tennessee.

According to a press release from Charlotte Havely, vice president of marketing for KTVAECU, the funds represent the collective efforts of the credit union’s members in addition to a matching donation of $25,000 from the institution itself. In total, KTVAECU has provided cash and supply donations projected to exceed $200,000.

“In moments like this, our philosophy of People Helping People, Members Helping Members, really shines,” wrote Kimberley Trimble, chief people officer for KTVAECU.
