People visited the Preston Farms Corn Maze Friday during a Sunflower fundraiser to raise money for the Preston Public Library.

Jerry Grabarek, owner of the Preston Corn Maze, said he planted three acres of sunflowers this year and used a new seed variety that has smaller flower heads and a brighter color of yellow that he felt were better than the larger flower heads last year.

Grabarek said that last year the fundraiser raised $1,270 and the library used it to purchase a smart white board.

The fundraiser runs through Aug. 20. Prices for sunflowers are $2 per bloom, or $10 for six blooms and people must bring cash and their own clippers.
