Busy day at the Flo Gris

Old Lyme ― Florence Griswold Museum was very busy Wednesday preparing for Wee Faerie Village “Yesterville: A Wee Old-Timey Town” that opens on Saturday and runs through Nov. 3.

People outside the museum were creating 30 handcrafted fairy miniatures along a walking trail. The miniatures are a playful take on living history museums such as Mystic Seaport Museum and Old Sturbridge Village.

In the museum’s center gallery a crew was setting up the oversized “faerie ring”, a circle of mushrooms, and photographs of an imaginative series exploring concepts of magic and mystery in the forest by artist Adrien Broom.
