    Where good news shines

    No. 5 Denver lacrosse will meet No. 4 Syracuse in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals at 10 a.m. Sunday for a spot in the Final Four.

    Denver (12-3), a western power, is 0-4 against Syracuse (12-5), an east-coast blueblood. The quarterfinal will be played in Towson, Md., and broadcast on ESPNU and 104.3 FM.

    Denver advanced to the heavyweight matchup thanks to a 16-11 win over Michigan on Saturday. Syracuse beat Towson, 20-15.

    The Denver-Syracuse winner gets the winner of the No. 3 Johns Hopkins vs. No. 6 Virginia.
