    Where good news shines

The University of Colorado soccer team beat North Texas 4-3 in a high-scoring exhibition match in Boulder on Saturday.

Faith Leyba and Ava Priest teamed up for the game-winning tally in the 77th minute. Leyba saved the ball off the left side of the goal line, centering it back to the middle of the field, where Priest headed it into an empty net from just off the line.

The Buffs held a 2-1 lead after the first 45 minutes, getting goals from Hope Leyba and Sami Fisher.

Colorado starts the regular season with a four-game homestand, opening with a rematch from last season against Marquette on Thursday (7 p.m. MT/ESPN+).
