For the only time in 2024, Colorado fans can get a look at Deion Sanders' second Buffaloes team for free.

Sanders announced the details for Friday's open practice Wednesday night.

“When you practice in front of company, no one’s going to embarrass themselves," Sanders said at last week's fall sports media day. "When you guys are out there (media), everybody’s going to go hard. The cameras are going to be on.

"We’re going to protect everything. We’re not going to show what we’re going to run first game, most likely. We just want to change it up, and also we want to give the wonderful fan base opportunities.”

Admission is free, but there are a limited number of tickets that are available to be claimed on a first come, first serve basis. All-City Stadium seats a little less than 6,000.

Fans are also encouraged to car pool to practice as parking is limited in the area of the stadium, which is located on the campus of Denver South High School just off I-25 near Washington Park.

There will not be a chance for fans to take pictures or receive autographs from players and coaches since the practice is taking place during the NCAA restricted period. Bags will be checked upon entry and clear bags, like the ones required at Folsom Field, are recommended.

The Buffs kick off the 2024 season less than two weeks from the open practice with the season opener set for Thursday, Aug. 29 against North Dakota State at 6 p.m. in Boulder. CU's first game back in the Big 12 comes Sept. 21 against Baylor, also at Folsom Field.
