Where good news shines

MSU Denver volleyball will start its season in a familiar position.

Nationally ranked in the top 10.

The Roadrunners were ranked No. 7 in the American Volleyball Coaches' Association's preseason Division II poll Friday. The 'Runners were seventh in last season's final poll.

MSU Denver has been ranked in the top 10 by the AVCA in 40 straight polls dating to early in the 2021 season, as well as in 52 of the last 54.

The Roadrunners are favored to win their fourth straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular-season volleyball championship, according to the league's preseason poll.

MSU Denver is coming off a 25-7 season and won its third straight RMAC championship last season. The program has played in 23 consecutive NCAA Division II Tournaments.

MSU Denver opens its regular season Sept. 5 in a tournament at Western Washington.
