There will be a few new faces in uniform when the Nuggets resume their preseason schedule Friday.

The Nuggets announced the signings of Will Richardson, Andrew Funk and Charles Bediako to training camp contracts Tuesday afternoon.

Funk, a 6-foot-5 guard, was a member of the Nuggets’ Summer League team in 2023 and returned to Denver for last year’s training camp before joining Denver’s G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold. The Bulls signed the sharpshooter to a two-way contract midseason, and he made five NBA appearances late last season.

Richardson is a 6-foot-5 wing who spent last season with the Gold, after a five-year college career at Oregon. Bediako, a 7-footer who played collegiately at Alabama, signed with San Antonio’s G League affiliate after going undrafted in 2023 but missed most of his rookie season due to injury.

To make room for the new trio, the Nuggets waived the prior crop of exhibit-10 players: Gabe McGlothan, Jaylin Williams and Jahmir Young. Denver retains their G League rights.

Denver already has the maximum 15 players signed to standard contracts and three more on two-way contracts, meaning the team would have to waive a player for any of the new crop to stick around for the start of the regular season.

Funk, Richardson and Bediako are expected to be in uniform for Sunday’s preseason game against Phoenix at Ball Arena.
