The Denver Gazette sports staff predicts Sunday's Broncos-Chargers game at Mile High:

    Paul Klee's pick: Chargers 20, Broncos 18

Full disclosure: I preferred Jim Harbaugh to Greg Penner's Sean Payton. And who are you going to trust with multi-million decisions — the savvy billionaire or the sports writer who hops garage sales on Saturdays? The best thing about sports? Scoreboard don't lie.

    Klee's record: 2-3 overall

    Chris Schmaedeke's pick: Broncos 17, Chargers 13

This game is going to be a slugfest. The Broncos defense will be the best group on the field and frustrate Justin Herbert. Bo Nix and the offense will just do enough for the Broncos to get their fourth-straight win.

    Schmaedeke's record: 3-2 overall

    Chris Tomasson's pick: Broncos 20, Chargers 16

The Broncos now have winning streaks against every team in the AFC West — even if the ones against the Chiefs and Raiders are just one game. But they have a three-game streak against the Chargers and look for it to reach four in what could be an old-style game with both teams trying to mount a strong running attack.

    Tomasson's record: 3-2 overall

    Mark Kiszla's pick: Broncos 18, Chargers 15

There's a celebration going on right here. A celebration to last throughout the years. I did it. Finally got a prediction of a Broncos game right. That's so Kool & the Gang.

    Kiszla's record: 1-4 overall

    Kyle Fredrickson's pick: Broncos 17, Chargers 10

The Broncos defense creates multiple turnovers and quarterback Bo Nix capitalizes with short field position. The Chargers find success running the football. But Denver's elite unit of edge rushers makes life difficult all afternoon for LA quarterback Justin Herbert. The Broncos win four in a row.

    Fredrickson: 3-2 overall
