    Where good news shines

    Happy birthday, Lucy Hart.

Hart, a senior defender from Pine Creek High in Colorado Springs, is playing a starring role for one of the longest unbeaten streaks in NCAA women's soccer. Texas State (8-3-4, 4-0-2 Sun Belt) had gone unbeaten in 10 straight matches ahead of a Friday night game vs. Old Dominion.

Hart, who turned 22 Friday, began her college career at Northern Colorado before transferring to San Marcos, Texas. She has started all 15 matches in her second season with the Bobcats. Hart was a Gazette Preps first-team selection in 2019 and was an All-Big Sky honorable mention pick at Northern Colorado in 2021 and 2022.
