Two killed in accident on stretch of mountain interstate in Colorado
A serious accident on Colorado's mountainous stretch of I-70 left two people dead and two people hospitalized on June 29, according to the Avon Police Department. In an initial press release on the matter, the department reported that the accident involved two vehicles, taking place just east of the Avon 167 interchange in eastbound lanes of the interstate.

Woman dies in south Denver shooting near Glendale
A woman is dead after she was shot in south Denver on Saturday afternoon, according to the Denver Police Department. The shooting occurred in the 800 block of south Dexter Street, according to a DPD posting on social media platform X. Police received a call over shots fired at 4:37 p.m., a DPD spokesperson said. Shots were fired in an area of south Denver bordering Glendale. Police said a woman was transported to the hospital, where she later died. Authorities announced Sunday morning that a 51-year-old male suspect was arrested late last night on first-degree murder charges related to the shooting.
