Iowa State basketball's Maui Invitational bracket revealed

The 2024 Maui Invitational bracket has been revealed.

The Iowa State men's basketball team, projected as a preseason top-10 squad, will open the prestigious tournament against another potential top-10 team, Auburn.

The game will be played Monday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast by ESPNU.

Iowa State will then play either Dayton or North Carolina on Tuesday. Memphis, Michigan State, Colorado and two-time defending national champion UConn reside on the other side of the loaded event , which will conclude with a final game for Iowa State on Wednesday.

This year will mark the return of the Maui Invitational to the Lahaina Civic Center after the devastating wildfires of 2023.

Coach T.J. Otzelberger's Cyclones will enter the season with the most anticipation for an Iowa State team since the 2015-16 team opened the year with a preseason top-10 rankings. Iowa State won the Big 12 Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 in March.

Iowa State opens the season Nov. 4, at Hilton Coliseum against Mississippi Valley State.
