Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's ... a superhero window washer!?!

Sometimes, those super powers are good for more than just batting around super villains.

You can fight grime as well ― and make a few kids smile while you're at it.

That was the story Wednesday when five heroic window washers from Larry's Window Service Inc. of Des Moines rappelled down the outside of Unity Point Health - Blank Children's Hospital and then popped in to say hello to the young patients inside.

Spider-Man, Batman, Thor, Capt. America and Supergirl sat bedside with some of the young patients to cheer them up and offer some inspiration.

Two-year-old Aroyal McGregory, and her father, Andrew, got a visit from Supergirl, while Max Evans, 15, watched Thor waving to him outside his window.

Then it was up, up and away for the mighty members, off to their next adventure.
