Noah Gannon ran for 208 yards and scored four touchdowns in leading Cathedral City High School to a 42-20 season opening win over Indian Springs on Thursday to kick off the football season for Coachella Valley schools.

The Lions will look to move to remain unbeaten next Friday at San Bernardino.

Gannon, a senior running back, wasn't the only Lions player to have a big night on Thursday. Junior Javier Godinez ran for 163 yards and a touchdown and sophomore Trace Vargas ran for 24 yards and a score. As a team, the Lions recorded 410 rushing yards in the game.
