Riverside County deputies arrested two men suspected in burglaries in Indian Wells and Rancho Mirage in which jewelry and designer products worth an estimated half a million dollars were stolen.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies got reports of multiple residential burglaries in the two cities in July, the sheriff's department said in a press release. The thieves broke glass doors and windows to get inside the homes.

Authorities identified the suspects this week as Anthony Pena-Gomez, 39, and Carlos Riquelme-Montecinos, 40. The department said it believes Pena-Gomez and Riquelme-Montecinos, who are both from Los Angeles, are associated with an organized burglary group in the LA area that is responsible for burglaries around the country.

The two were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on Aug. 27. Sheriff's Lt. Deirdre Vickers said a judge reduced their bail from $500,000 to $50,000 during their arraignment. Pena-Gomez and Riquelme-Montecinos are next scheduled to appear in court at the Larson Justice Center on Sept. 10, jail records show.

Authorities also served a search warrant in the 400 block of Cottage Home Street in Los Angeles and found a stolen gun from Burbank, stolen jewelry from a Rancho Mirage home, stolen jewelry from a Fullerton home, burglary tools, fraudulent identifications and cell phones, the department said.
