We’re creeping toward the season of all things spooky, and with it comes an important question.

When will McDonald’s bring back their Boo Buckets?

The Happy Meal box (or rather, bucket) that customers can use to collect scores of candy when they go trick-or-treating is one of the fast-food chain’s popular specialty items. It first made its debut in 1986, the Indianapolis Star reported .

So, are you ready to get in line at the drive-thru and get your Boo Bucket? Here’s what we know, plus some other collaborations McDonald’s has cooking this month.

When can I get the McDonald’s Boo Buckets?

McDonald’s has not announced when Boo Buckets will return in 2024. But Snackolator , a social media account covering food, posted on Instagram that Boo Buckets typically are released two weeks before Halloween. So, customers can expect these items to drop around Oct. 14, the account said.

The food reviewer also posted a picture of the Boo Buckets for 2024, and let’s just say some social media users were booing the Boo Buckets for their design. Snackolator said that these buckets were posted by a McDonald’s in another country, so there’s a chance that McDonald’s will have different designs for locations in America.

What to know on the McDonald’s Croc keychains, Genshin Impact McDonald’s meal

Customers waiting for their Halloween-themed buckets can look forward to something else coming to McDonald’s in the meantime.

Footwear company Crocs has collaborated with McDonald’s. Starting Sept. 17, all McDonald’s U.S. locations will carry the Crocs Happy Meal for a limited time, USA TODAY reported . The Happy Meal includes one of 17 limited edition Crocs Clog keychains. Crocs will also offer a line of McDonald’s-themed footwear as part of the collaboration.

Also coming Sept. 17 is a collaboration between McDonald’s and the popular open-world adventure game, Genshin Impact. Players can receive in-game rewards by purchasing select McDonald’s items through the app, Game Rant reported . That includes purchasing an apple pie or the McCrispy Deluxe Combo Meal, according to a social media post by McDonald's.
