Aaron Ramirez scored four touchdowns and Derek Calderon threw four touchdown passes as Coachella Valley beat Franklin, 42-20, in Los Angeles on Friday night.

Coachella Valley (4-2) overcame a 12-point deficit to win the game, outscoring the Panthers 42-8 the rest of the way. The Arabs dominated the second half, outscoring Franklin 21-0 after the intermission.

"I was pleased with our resilience," Coachella Valley head coach Bill Johnson said.

Ramirez caught a pair of touchdown passes and ran for the two others. Mikey Rodriguez and LJ Lopez caught the other two touchdown passes from Calderon.

Ramirez now has nine rushing touchdowns and six receiving in five games this season.

Sebastian Casillas recorded 2.5 sacks in the game, and Ramirez and Sebastian Garcia each recorded interceptions. Garcia also recovered a fumble that was forced by Sebastian Arriaga.

The win comes a week after Coachella Valley lost its second game of the season. The Arabs will face Desert Mirage on Thursday.

"Proud of our guys for bouncing back after a tough loss last week," Johnson said, "and getting a good win on the road."
