    Replay: Donald Trump running mate JD Vance speaks in Macomb County

    Republican vice presidential nominee and U.S. Sen. JD Vance of Ohio will visit Macomb County on Wednesday to speak at the Shelby Township Police Department.

    The visit will be Vance's second since becoming former President Donald Trump's running mate and comes on the same day that Vice President Kamala Harris — who is now the Democratic Party's presidential nominee — is also expected to be in metro Detroit on a multistate tour introducing her running mate. Details of that event and another by Harris on Thursday were not yet known.

    Vance was expected to speak at 10 a.m. but it was not clear if the event was public.
