    Relive 1984's biggest movies with $5 celebration at southeast Michigan Cinemark theaters

    Are you a fan of the 80s and want to see you favorite movies again on the big screen?

    Cinemark is inviting fans to celebrate celebrate the company's 40th anniversary by celebrating the biggest movies from 1984 in all Cinemark locations.

    There are two Cinemark theaters in southeast Michigan:

    • MJR Universal Grand Cinema 16 located at 28600 Dequindre Road in Warren
    • Cinemark Southland Center and XD: 23000 Eureka Road in Taylor

    Tickets are $5 and the event allows fans to check out classics, including "Footloose," "Ghostbusters" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" from Aug. 12-18.

    The schedule and shows are below:

    • Aug. 12: "The Karate Kid"
    • Aug. 13: "The Terminator"
    • Aug. 14: "Gremlins"
    • Aug. 15: "Purple Rain"
    • Aug. 16: "Ghostbusters"
    • Aug. 17: "A Nightmare on Elm Street," "The Last Starfighter"
    • Aug. 18: "Footloose," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom"
