Hanah Steakhouse, an Asian fusion restaurant in downtown Detroit that opened in 2022, has closed.

The restaurant has been sharing via Facebook and Instagram that it's for sale, offering few details beyond a call for potential buyers to message the team for more information.

Hanah is based at the historic U.S. Mortgage Bond Building, which opened in 1925. The restaurant sits in the Shelby Street space once occupied by Brome Modern Eatery. It opened quietly in November 2022, but made a big splash with captivating decor and second-level seating on a skybridge that allowed diners to indulge in decadent steaks while taking in views of downtown Detroit.

The menu fused traditional steakhouse dishes with Asian flavors and sushi. There were bright garnishes like vibrant orchids on many plates, as well as banana leaves beneath sushi rolls. The place was also decorated with an expansive pink cherry blossom tree that glowed with uplighting; its petals crawled along the ceiling. The staircase to the skybridge was lined with a plant wall and purple neon lighting.

The family-owned business is helmed by brothers Peter and Christopher Han. The duo also operates Osaka Japanese Steakhouse in Clawson and Shelby Township, and another recently opened Asian fusion concept, Nuevo Seoul in downtown Detroit. They aimed to bring an exciting, flashy concept to Detroit.

The Hans declined to comment about the sale. More details, however, can be found on various real estate sites , and Facebook Marketplace.

The business is listed for $1.15 million, and seems to encourage a purchase from another restaurateur looking to capitalize on the downtown Detroit attractions.

“This is your chance to own a restaurant that serves some of the most delicious steaks and sushi in Michigan or it can be converted to a different cuisine of Restaurant!” one listing reads .

Interested buyers can contact the listing agent on any one of the real estate posts where the property is found, or message Hanah directly via Facebook or Instagram .
