Jack White bashes Trump for use of 'Seven Nation Army' in campaign video

Detroit native and The White Stripes lead singer and guitarist Jack White took to Instagram Thursday to express his anger after one of the band's songs was used in a pro-Trump video without his permission.

The video, which was posted to X by Trump's Deputy Director of Communications, Margo Martin, depicts Trump walking up stairs to board a plane while a clip of "Seven Nation Army" plays, along with the caption: "President @realDonaldTrump departs for Michigan and Washington!"

White responded by posting a screen recording of the X post with the caption: "'Oh....Don't even think about using my music you fascists. Law suit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.) Have a great day at work today Margo Martin. And as long as I'm here, a double f**k you DonOLD for insulting our nation's veterans at Arlington you scum. You should lose every military family's vote immediately from that if ANYTHING makes sense anymore.' -Jack White"

White's caption references an incident that occurred during Trump's visit to Arlington National Cemetary earlier this week, when two members of his campaign staff allegedly got into a verbal and physical altercation when a cemetery official tried to stop the staffers from photographing and filming in a prohibited area where recent U.S. casualties were buried.
