NFL schedule today: Lions-Rams closes out Sunday Week 1 action

The 2024 NFL season already started with games on Thursday and Friday, but that was only a small preview of the main event: Sunday's full slate of pro football action.

From the start of the games at 1 p.m. ET to the primetime clash between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions on "Sunday Night Football," there will be 13 matchups throughout the day. Eight games are in the 1 p.m. early slate and four games are in the later slate, with games starting between 4 and 4:30 p.m. ET.

To close out the day, the Lions will welcome back quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Rams once again, nearly eight months after sending Los Angeles packing from the wild-card round of the playoffs.
