Detroit Tigers right-hander Jackson Jobe made his Triple-A Toledo debut .

It wasn't a start to remember.

Jobe allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts across four innings in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Jobe, 22, needed 83 pitches to complete four innings.

In the second inning, he allowed a two-run home run to Devin Mann on a middle-middle 97 mph fastball.

The former No. 3 overall draft pick ranks as the Tigers' No. 2 prospect (behind Max Clark), according to MLB Pipeline , and the No. 6 prospect in baseball. He is the highest-ranked pitching prospect on MLB Pipeline's top-100 prospect list.

For his 83 pitches, Jobe threw 30 four-seam fastballs (36.1%), 22 sweepers (26.5%), 19 cutters (22.9%) and 12 changeups (14.5%). He generated nine whiffs on 42 swings — a 21.4% whiff rate — with three fastballs, three sweepers, two cutters and one changeup.

His fastball averaged 96.4 mph, maxing at 98.4 mph.
