    Free Men's Health Event; Eastern Market cancels Sept. 30 tailgate; Sting's concert; more

    This morning, I'm turning over the Daily Briefing to columnist Neal Rubin, who is going to share information about an event for the men in our lives at Ford Field this weekend.

    Men don’t do themselves any favors when it comes to their health — and the Men’s Health Event this Saturday at Ford Field hopes to make up for some of their habitual inattention.

    From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., men can get as many as 20 tests and screenings , all at no charge. Vision and hearing exams, blood work to detect prostate cancer, testing for diabetes and HIV 
 all free. There will also be haircuts, a job fair and free hot dogs. It’s the 14th year of an event dreamed up by Michael Lutz, a recently retired urologist from Birmingham.

    📰 News: Eastern Market has canceled its next Detroit Lions home game tailgate on Sept. 30 following a shooting that killed two people last weekend. 
 Also, the second victim in the shooting has been identified as a 25-year-old Detroiter.
