Tigers tickets at Comerica Park: Prices for final 3 games of playoff push vs. White Sox

The Detroit Tigers ' playoff push continues this weekend at Comerica Park vs. the Chicago White Sox for the final three games of the MLB 2024 regular season.

The Tigers earned a sweep Thursday over the Tampa Bay Rays with a 4-3 comeback win, inching closer to clinching a wild-card spot in the American League playoffs .

The Tigers' magic number is 2 and they can secure a playoff berth Friday. They need a combination of two wins against the White Sox or Minnesota Twins ' losses (the Twins have four games left) to clinch a postseason bid. The Tigers' magic number with Kansas City is 4; the Tigers are tied with the Royals for the second wild-card spot, but the Royals own the tiebreak.

The Tigers (85-74) sat seven games below .500 on Aug. 11 with a less than 1% chance of reaching the postseason according to multiple predictive models, but have gone 29-11 since, including four wins in a row and eight of nine to jump 2½ games ahead of the Twins for the third and final wild-card berth .

The excitement around the Tigers is reaching a fever pitch and some luck continues to fall in their favor. The Tigers went from having less than a 1% chance of making the playoffs — they were 11 games out of the playoffs Aug. 10 — to now having a 96.6% chance according to Fangraphs .

It's expected to be a packed house at Comerica as the Tigers try to finish off the season against the White Sox, who on Sunday tied the single-season loss record dating to 1901 with their 120th loss .
