Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes to scout Alabama vs. Georgia SEC showdown

Brad Holmes will be one of two NFL general managers attending the showdown between No. 1 Georgia vs. No. 4 Alabama in a classic Southeastern Conference clash.

Holmes, the fourth-year Detroit Lions general manager, is scheduled to be at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the 7:30 p.m. kickoff (ABC, ESPN+ and Fubo ). Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles is also expected to attend, according to Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy .

Scouts from 16 NFL teams, including the Lions , are expected to attend the game.

The Lions are off Sunday in Week 4 of the NFL season , and host the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football , so Holmes will have plenty of time to get back home to Detroit.
