Detroit Tigers playoff schedule: Dates, times, TV channel in MLB postseason 2024

The Detroit Tigers have their seed and opponent for the 2024 MLB playoffs in the American League, after losing the regular-season finale, 9-5, to the Chicago White Sox on Sunday at Comerica Park in Detroit.

The Tigers on Friday clinched a playoff berth to snap a nine-season drought , but fell to the No. 6 seed with losses Saturday and Sunday, combined with the Kansas City Royals winning Sunday.

The Tigers (86-76) face the Houston Astros (88-73) on Tuesday in Game 1 of the wild-card series. The No. 2 seed Cleveland Guardians await the winner in the best-of-five ALDS, which starts Saturday .
