Heading to a Detroit Tigers playoff game during the 2024 MLB postseason , and looking for the Comerica Park bag policy? We have the answers for you.

The Tigers, hosting their first playoff games in a decade, and their home park have a list of notable items that are prohibited or limited, as well as items that are allowed.

    Here's what you should know:

REQUIRED READING: Freep’s Tigers beat writer is noticeably absent from coverage. Here’s why.

Comerica Park bag policy to know

    • Metal detectors: Fans will have their permitted bags searched and must pass through a walkthrough metal detector. Guests can opt out of this screening, but will be subject to hand held metal detector screening or alternative screening procedures, according to the park security .
    • Empty your pockets: Fans will need to empty their pockets of keys, mobile phones and other items before walking through the metal detector.
    • Bag policy: With exceptions for diaper and medical bags, Comerica Park prohibits visitors from bringing bags, purses and clutches into the park. Each attendee may bring a single-compartment wallet no larger than 5 inches-by-7 inches-by-1½ inches, according to the team's website .
    • No coolers or outside food/drink: The park prohibits guests from bringing coolers as well as outside food or drinks, with the exception of one factory-sealed water bottle per person, and sealed drink boxes for children.
    • No knives or weapons of any kind permitted.
    • Cashless payment only: Comerica Park is a cashless venue, meaning food, drinks, merchandise and other on-site amenities can only be purchased with a credit or debit card. For those who arrive without cashless payment methods, Comerica park has installed three Cash2Card kiosks, which instantly transfer cash currency onto a temporary Visa card. The kiosks are located in concourse sections 121, 138 and 328.
