Report: Detroit Pistons sign Alondes Williams, Cole Swider to two-way contracts

The Detroit Pistons made a couple of additions to their roster on Saturday, five days before their regular season opener .

Alondes Williams and Cole Swider are planning to sign two-way contracts with the Pistons, according to ESPN. They join Daniss Jenkins as the Pistons' three two-way players this season, the maximum allowed.

Williams, a 6-foot-4 guard, went undrafted in 2022 following a five-year college career that began at the JUCO level and ended at Wake Forest, where he averaged 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists as a senior.

He initially signed a two-way with the Brooklyn Nets, and has had stops with the Long Island Nets, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Miami Heat, and was named G League Player of the Year with the Skyforce in April after averaging 20.3 points, 7.1 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals on 49.8% overall shooting. He spent training camp with the Los Angeles Clippers on an Exhibit 10 before he was waived Saturday.

Swider, a 6-foot-8 forward, signed a two-way with the Lakers in 2022 and with the Heat in 2023. He spent four years at Villanova, where he shot 38.1% from 3 for his career, and averaged 13.9 points and 6.8 rebounds as a senior.
