To be listed on the calendar, events must be either free, be operated by a nonprofit, charity, government entity or as a fundraiser.     Woman’s Club of Dundalk Meetings

    First Wednesday of every month, 6 p.m.

    Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. at local area restaurants. If interested in attending a meeting or learning more about the club, contact Anita Becker at 410-285-7434. The Woman’s Club of Dundalk is a qualified nonprofit charity serving the greater Dundalk community for over 80 years.

    Dundalk Farmers Market

    Every Saturday, 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    The Greater Dundalk Chamber of Commerce farmers market begins on June 15 and will run through October. The market will be open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. Interested vendors: Please reach out to ed@gdcoc.org. Leave your contact information such as your name, type of business, e-mail address and phone number. Someone will contact you with more details about the farmers market.

    Optimist Club Monthly Meetings

    Second Wednesday of the month, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

    The Optimist Club of Dundalk holds monthly board meetings every second Wednesday of the month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Membership meetings are every fourth Wednesday of the month, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome! Held at the Optimists’ clubhouse: 4528 North Point Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21219.

    Todd’s House Inheritance

    Saturday, Aug. 17

    Architectural historian Peter Morrill will lead small group tours on how to “read” a historic structure like Todd’s. What are the tell-tale clues, like construction techniques and decorative detailing, to look for when dating a structure, as well as spotting later changes and additions? Small group tours on the hour: 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. A reminder, the house will open at our normal time for Saturdays at 10 a.m. but small group tours with Pete will start at 12 p.m.

    100 Years of Colgate Elementary Celebration

    Thursday, Aug. 22, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

    Come join us on August 22nd to celebrate Colgate Elementary turning 100! There will be food for purchase, games, music, and many community organizations! No fee to attend, and the event is open to everyone. We will be collecting new/unused school supplies to support our students.

    Veterans of Foreign Wars benefit dance with live music

    Sunday, Aug. 24, 7 - 11 p.m.

    Charles Evering Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6506 will hold a benefit dance on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 7 to 11 p.m. at 8777 Philadelphia Road in Rossville. Music by 7 Souls Music for Your Soul. Menu available until 9 p.m. and cash bar. Proceeds benefit local veterans. Donation: $15 in advance and a limited number of tickets at the door. For tickets please call the post at 410-391-6506.

    Dundalk High School Back to School

    Dundalk High School will be hosting its back to school event on Aug. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a meet and greet, alumni tour, food trucks and more.     Defenders’ Day Celebration

    Saturday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 1, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

    The Defenders’ Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Howard Park, where the British landed in 1814. This event commemorates the Battle of North Point during the War of 1812 between the Americans and the British, which was the largest land invasion by a foreign army in United States History.

    Sparrows Point High School 40 Years of Girls Soccer Celebration

    Friday, Sept. 6, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

    Sparrows Point High School will celebrate 40 years of girls soccer, Friday Sept. 6 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 1st Mariner Field. The SPHS Girls Soccer Program will be hosting a meet and greet for all girls soccer alumni. Alumni will receive free admission, a hospitality area and recognition during halftime of the varsity game (5 p.m.). We hope that many alumni can attend, especially those original players from the 1980s.

    VFW Benefit Flea Market

    Sunday, Sept. 8, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

    Charles Evering Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6506 and Auxiliary will sponsor a flea market on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8777 Philadelphia Road in Rossville.     Back-to-school carnival

    The Community Assistance Network is putting on a back-to-school carnival on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 12 - 3 p.m at 7900 East Baltimore Street, Dundalk, 21224. Come out and learn about resources available along with a fun day for the kids and school supplies! All children must be present to receive school supplies.

    Patterson High School Class of 1974 50th Reunion

    Patterson High School 90th Anniversary Celebration

    Saturday, Sept. 28, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

    Patterson High School, established in 1934, will be celebrating its 90th anniversary with alumni of all generations. From noon til 4 p.m., there will be tours of the new school building (since 1960) located at 100 Kane Street in Baltimore.     Turner Station Class of 1967 Reunion

    Saturday, Oct. 12, 6 - 10 p.m.

    Meet the group of 75-year-olds that met in first to seventh grades and are still getting together with classmates, family and friends to break bread, shake a leg and have a good time. The 57th Reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at 5625 O'Donnell St, Baltimore, MD, 21224. A celebration for all classes, all years, all schools! $100 per person. This class graduated from a total of 10 different schools. However, the difficulty and controversy of the time has not stopped us from celebrating what should have been.

    Colgate Rec's Crab Feast

    Saturday, Oct. 12, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

    Colgate Rec is holding an all-you-can-eat crab feast and buffet from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rosedale Gardens, 8037 Philadelphia Road, Baltimore, MD, 21237.
