Work Authority cuts ribbon on first US store in Sparrows Point
The Greater Dundalk Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new member last week with a ribbon-cutting event in Sparrows Point. Work Authority, a Canadian company selling work safety apparel, opened its first U.S. store in the Tradepoint Atlantic business park last Thursday. At the ribbon cutting, the store gave away free goodies like water bottles, hats and gloves, and free barbecue was available from Towson-based Slicen Dyson Smoked Meats. Citations from the Maryland General Assembly were presented to Work Authority for opening the store and providing local jobs. The 3,000-square foot retail store is located at 6995 Bethlehem Blvd. Suite 103.
Baltimore County to take legal action for Key Bridge collapse

27-year-old man sentenced to life in prison for murder on Yorkway
Damion D. Moffett, 27, was sentenced last week to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 20 years for the Feb. 23, 2021 shooting of Deshante Young on Yorkway. Container ship Dali refloated, moved away from Key Bridge
The recovery from the deadly Baltimore bridge collapse reached a significant milestone Monday as the ill-fated container ship Dali was slowly escorted back to port, its damaged bow still covered with smashed shipping containers, fallen steel trusses and mangled concrete.
