Jackson State competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Calvo visited the Jackson State campus recently and developed a strong relationship with coach Ted Flogaites and those factors helped her in reaching her decision.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to play at the Division I level," Calvo said. "Coach Flogaites followed me, had seen me play and really showed interest in me. The campus visit went well and I'm excited to see what the future holds at Jackson State. It was an emotional moment for me to commit, soccer is my passion."
