    Alice Ferguson Foundation set to celebrate its 70th

    The Alice Ferguson Foundation invites the community to raise a glass on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the 10th Annual Pinot on the Potomac wine tasting and garden party, to celebrate the foundation’s 70th anniversary of providing environmental education to students and adults throughout the Potomac River watershed.

    “For seven decades, we’ve been dedicated to inspiring students and adults throughout the Potomac River watershed to cherish and protect our natural world,” said Theresa Cullen, Executive Director of the Alice Ferguson Foundation. “Pinot on the Potomac is a wonderful opportunity to come together, raise a glass, and honor the over one million individuals whose lives have been enriched by our programs since 1954. We look forward to continuing this legacy of stewardship and education for many more years to come.”

    According to a release, this annual event “brings together friends to enjoy the stunning landscape of the foundation’s environmental campus overlooking the Potomac River, savor delicious food and wine and celebrate its mission of helping people find joy in nature.”

    Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals, learn about the Foundation’s impactful programs, and contribute to the protection of our natural world.

    In partnership with the Maryland Wineries Association, this year’s Pinot on the Potomac will feature wine tastings from the prestigious Maryland wine trails, live music, a silent auction and so much more.

    All tickets include delicious heavy hors d’oeuvres with vegan options and dessert by Root & Stem Catering.

    Bottles of wine will be available for purchase. Pre-order and day of food options available. Premier table reservation includes appetizers, two bottles of wine — a red and our commemorative white, and early entry at 3 PM for six guests.

    All event proceeds support the foundation’s environmental education programs.
