BROCKTON ― A local restaurant and luxury hall provides Brockton flavors of the island, as well as weekly exotic dance classes.

Pyramid Bar Restaurant & Function Hall , located at 1040 Main St., Brockton, has new, exciting dishes and cocktails to serve the community. The family business has been open for two years, but their reign has just started.

“It’s truly a special place to be in Brockton,” said Lilly B. Lynce, co-owner of Pyramid. “Pyramids can’t be built in one day; it takes time to build a pyramid, and there’s a lot of geometrics involved."

When the owners created Pyramid, their goal was to host a place in Brockton where people could enjoy live music, dance, cocktails, and fresh food made to order while being safe.

“It’s important to have a restaurant and bar like this in Brockton, where people of all ethnicities can come and relax, eat incredible entrees, and even take a dance class if they wish,” says Tony Riberio, manager of Pyramid Bar Restaurant & Function, adding that dance classes are held every Thursday.

These events include graduations, birthday parties, gender reveals, funerals, and anything worth celebrating.

The best part about the establishment is getting a “Boston feel” without the price and drive.

    Food offerings

Their menu comprises Haitian Caribbean fusion dishes and a dash of American cuisine.

Popular dishes include fritay, rice, bean sauce, fried fish, black rice, fried meatballs, shrimp scamp, lambe, legume, octopus and fried turkey in sauce.

There are plenty of dishes to try that “rock your world,” including tasso cabrit (fried goat), lalo, and bouillon, which are traditional Haitian dishes.

What makes the restaurant different from others is the “atmosphere” and the live DJs and bands that play weekly.

The business prides itself on the consistency of the food and the "good vibes" they have every night.

Pyramids motto is “Come as strangers but leave as friends.”
